SOFTLICNESEGEN
- is a license key software application for dot Net developers.
The software provides the developer a mechanism to create
license keys for their programs and store the information
in a local database embedded in the software.
The License Keys can be used to allow the developer to create
Evaluation software and Registered software with additional
Hardware locks.
SoftLicenseGen
generates two encrypted keys based on the software name and
other License Criteria. A Software Master key which is embedded
in the developer software, and a License Key File which is
referenced by the compiled software at the time of use by
the end user.
The Evaluation Key file generated by SoftLicenseGen can be
used to allow the end user of the developers software to run
a 30Day Evaluation of the software. The key file references
the first use of the Executable. Using the functions within
the DLL file the software can then be locked once the 30Days
have expired.
Using a License
Key file rather that using registry keys to store the encrypted
has the advantage in that the file can be stored in the program
installation folder.
The License Key Files are encrypted using Triple Data Encryption
Algorithm (TDEA) or more commonly know as Triple DES (Data
Encryption Standard)
